Two villas. One road.

Yes, though rarely in a single house. Every holiday home in Ibiza is licensed for a fixed number of guests, set property by property, and a licence for sixteen in one house is hard to find. So a group this size is usually split across two properties that can be a long way apart. Villa Kiku and Villa Mika solve that differently: they are two separately licensed eight-guest villas standing directly opposite each other on the same lane in Sant Josep, fifty nine metres apart, and Wingman Ibiza rents them together as one booking for sixteen.

Both stand on Carrer del Pica-Soques in Sa Carroca, a small area of Sant Jordi de ses Salines, which sits within the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia on the south of the island. Villa Kiku is on the south side of the lane and Villa Mika directly opposite to the north east, fifty nine metres gate to gate. Ibiza Airport is about 7 minutes by car, Ibiza Town about 5 and Playa d’en Bossa about 8. Ibiza Club de Campo, with its padel and tennis courts, is 230 metres from Kiku’s gate, about three minutes on foot.

Yes, and the two-house shape suits it better than one large villa does. There are two outdoor practice spaces rather than one: the pool terrace at Villa Mika, flat terracotta with olive trees along one side, and the lawn under the palms at Villa Kiku. That lets a retreat run two groups at once, or hold an early session at one house without waking the people still asleep at the other. Wingman books the teacher directly, as it books the private chef, so both appear on one bill; wellness sessions start at 150 EUR, mats and props come with the teacher, and the chef cooks for all sixteen in one sitting. Groups that would rather run their own sessions can hire the kit: eight mats and sixteen blocks brought to the villa and set out on the first morning, 75 EUR for the stay and subject to availability, since there is one set. A group of sixteen practising together at once should say so when booking the teacher, who brings the rest. Retreats tend to run in April, September and October, which are also the months both villas are easiest to book on the same dates.

They face each other across one quiet lane in Sant Josep de sa Talaia. Fifty nine metres separate the two front gates, which Jens has paced at eighty steps and fifty five seconds. There is no drive, no taxi and no second address to explain to anyone. Both properties have their own pool, their own kitchen and their own secure parking, so the two halves of the group are independent when they want to be and together the rest of the time.

For both villas together, indicative prices run from about 55 EUR per person per night midweek in winter to about 210 EUR at an August weekend, with a late April weekend at around 93 EUR, May midweek at around 97 EUR and a mid October weekend at around 107 EUR. That is the whole of both houses, sixteen people, the final clean at each villa included, booked direct. The same dates booked through a listing site run about 600 to 700 EUR more over three nights. Tourist tax of 2,20 EUR per guest per night and a refundable damage deposit are charged separately. Your own dates are priced individually, so send them and we will come back with a real figure.

It is what the pairing was put together for. Villa Kiku has a dedicated get-ready room with a bathroom beside it, an outdoor bar, a dining pergola seating fourteen, and table football, beer pong and ping pong. A private chef can cook at either house. Both villas are private, fenced and licensed, and we ask that amplified music moves indoors at 22:00, which is what keeps them the kind of place neighbours are happy to have a celebration next door to.

There is no bad room in either house. They are not identical either, and it is easier on everyone if the group knows the shape of it before anybody unpacks. Between the two villas there are eight bedrooms: four with a real double bed, four twins, and three of the eight are en suite, all three of those at Villa Mika. So four couples take a double, two in each house, and everyone else takes twins, which is what most groups of friends prefer anyway. Two singles can be joined into one bed with a topper for 75 EUR if you would rather. Villa Kiku also has sofa beds in two of its rooms and in the get-ready room, which gives a group more ways to arrange itself.

The choice between the houses then makes itself, and neither is the short straw: whoever wants an en suite and a quieter night takes Mika, whoever wants the outdoor bar, the games and the get-ready room takes Kiku.

Each villa is licensed for eight guests, so sixteen is the number we publish and the number the two houses are booked for. If your group is larger, tell us how many when you enquire and we will tell you honestly what is and is not possible on your dates rather than leaving you to guess.

We tell you straight away rather than holding you in a maybe. We then check Villa Suki, our third villa and a three minute drive from the other two, as the second house, so the group of sixteen still travels together even when the exact pairing is not available. A three minute drive is not a walk across the lane, and we will say so plainly, but it is one short drive rather than half the island. If Suki is taken as well, we check a partner villa nearby before we give up on it, and we price that pairing separately because it is a different house. If nothing pairs up, we will offer you the single villa that is free for eight of you, and say honestly that the sixteen-guest version is not possible on those dates.

That is most of what Wingman does. A private chef cooks at either villa for 85 to 110 EUR a head depending on the menu, with ingredient shopping, serving and the kitchen clean-up included, and the service runs to twenty guests so sixteen eat together in one sitting. Waiters are 30 EUR an hour if you want them, and one waiter covers about ten guests. Drinks and snacks are delivered before check-in, free over 200 EUR. A barman can work Kiku’s outdoor bar, a slush cocktail machine starts at 249 EUR, transfers meet you at arrivals, and a full change of towels mid-stay is 75 EUR per villa. Book the chef at least 48 hours ahead.

It is one direct booking with Wingman Ibiza covering both houses, with a single 50% deposit and one rental agreement. That matters more than it sounds. Booked separately through a listing site, the two villas are two reservations with two cancellation policies, and a group can end up confirmed at one house and rejected at the other. Booking direct makes it a single decision: both villas or neither, one contract, one point of contact.

One booking, one deposit, one person to deal with. Fifty per cent reserves both villas and the balance is settled on arrival, which for a group is easier than it sounds: everyone hands over their share at the villa instead of the organiser chasing bank transfers for three months. Card is available at the same price if you prefer it. The tourist tax and the refundable damage deposit are settled at the same time. If plans change, a cancellation within 24 hours of booking, and at least 7 days before check-in, is refunded in full; after that the 50% deposit is not refundable and the balance is not charged.

You are renting two houses rather than sixteen places, so the price does not fall and the group simply divides it differently. It is worth booking on the number you are sure of rather than the number who have said yes in a group chat. The booking conditions say this plainly, so whoever is organising has something to point at instead of having to explain it themselves.

April, September and October, and midweek in May and June. Both houses are free together on most dates in those months, the island is calmer, and the price per person sits well below the summer rate. Kiku’s tennis and padel courts two minutes away and the shaded outdoor rooms at both houses are better suited to spring and autumn than a beach day is. July and August are open more often than people expect, with a four night minimum. May and June go first, so ask as early as you can.
